Comfortable and simple food, this is how the Habitual Café works since 2017, when it opened its first house in Jardins. Created by partners Arman Beyazgul, an Australian of Turkish descent and Vladimir Abreu, a Brazilian from Minas Gerais, the house – which today also has a unit on the ground floor of Shiopping JK Iguatemi – brings a unique Mediterranean menu available from morning until the end of the morning. Comfort is the watchword, whether in gastronomy, in the environment or in service, the idea is that the customer eats what he wants, whenever he wants, like Benedictine eggs in Turkish fashion, the flagship of the house. The menu recipes were all created by the creative and passionate about gastronomy, Arman, from the knowledge acquired from his Greek grandmother. The grain, which has its special space in the house and is provided exclusively by a coffee farm in Caxambu, in the interior of Minas Gerais, and it is possible to order from the traditional Espresso, Carioca, Macchiato to Flat White or Café.

Caxambu Farm

Fazenda Caxambu, in Três Pontas – MG, brings, in its 100 years of history, the whole tradition of family production, passed down from generation to generation. It is currently run by the founders’ grandchildren, who took over the business as soon as the elders were gone.

Carefully executed by Carmen Lúcia Chaves de Brito and her brothers, the secular tradition met with the renovation and production of specialty coffees. After that, the business expanded and started to rely on training, team preparation, investment in people, in a more entrepreneurial motto. The appreciation of the environment and the care with those who chose to remain in the field were essential in the process of renovation and production of specialty coffees, after all they are also responsible for the quality and differentiation of the beans that leave Caxambu.

Today, 84% of the planting is for specialty coffees, which represents about 10,000 bags / year. There are 14 varieties actually produced, but more than 100 varieties are grown for experimentation. On the farm, boutique coffee, gardens and exotic materials assist in the work and expansion of research and productivity.

It is a piece of this story that ends up exclusively at Café Habitual, in this partnership that unites ideals and purposes, translated into the coffee served to customers.
