Comfortable and simple food – that’s how Café Habitual has operated since 2017 when it opened its first location in Jardins. Conceived by an Australian chef of Turkish descent, the café offers a unique Mediterranean menu available from morning until the end of the day. Comfort is the watchword, whether in the cuisine, the ambiance, or the service; the idea is that customers can eat whatever they want, whenever they want, like the Turkish-style Eggs Benedict, the house specialty. The coffee bean, which has its special place in the café with its various brewing methods, is exclusively supplied by a coffee farm in the interior of Minas Gerais.

Coffee Farm

For a long time, the century-old tradition of the coffee farm has met with the renewal and production of specialty coffees. From this, the business expanded and began to focus on training, team preparation, and investing in people, with a more entrepreneurial approach. Valuing the environment and caring for those who chose to stay in the countryside were essential in the renewal and production process of specialty coffees, as they are also responsible for the quality and uniqueness of the beans that come from the farm.

Today, 84% of the plantation is specialty coffees, which represents around 10 thousand bags/year. There are 14 varieties actually produced, but there are more than 100 varieties cultivated as experiments. On the farm, boutique coffee, gardens and exotic materials help with the work and increase research and productivity.

It is a piece of this history that ends up exclusively at Café Habitual, in this partnership that unites ideals and purposes, translated into the coffee served to customers.
